Im planning on taking 5-6 AP's next year and im wondering if I am gonna dig my self a grave by having these three classes lol. I heard most struggle with just one of those and yet Im might take all three of them. I have A's in my "pre-ap" courses right now but I dont know if this is suggested. You guys think its better to drop one?

I’d have to know more about you to really say. What’s your course load like this year? Another place to look would be your ECs. If you have many other commitments, I wouldn’t schedule so heavily. It depends where you want to concentrate your time and where you want to succeed to be honest.

I’m a sophomore so I don’t know if my advice would help, but I think you should only take AP Chem and Calc BC, or AP Physics C and Calc BC, but don’t take all three. You should probably talk about it with upperclassmen at your school. They would know about this better than others would since classes vary from school to school. It really isn’t necessary to load yourself up like that. You can still get accepted to the Ivies if you don’t.

It depends on your school, how much time you have, and your interest level. That combination sounds like hell to me, but if science is your thing and people at your school think it’s doable, then go for it :)

In my school, people usually take AP Physics C their senior year. Many kids in that class want to something in engineering. You’re going to a lot of math lol. AP Chemistry was one of my choices next year for an AP class. If you have A’s in pre-AP classes I think you’ll be fine. I wish my school had Pre-AP classes. Anyways I hope you come to a decision and good luck :)

My recommendation is for you to take AP Calc BC and AP Chem this year and then take AP Physics C next year. I heard that you need to know calculus well for AP Physics C, and all three of these AP classes at once would probably be too much. For junior year, I’m probably going to take AP Bio, AP Chem, AP US History, AP Lang, and AP Calc BC, so I’ll be doing 5 APs too! I think it’s manageable as long as you can keep up with all the work. :)

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I decided to wait for next year for physics. Spend your time on other activities. This might destroy your g.p.a. I would not recommend it.
