AP Chem - Consistent 7/9pt raw score / FRQ. What does this translate to?

I've done a lot of practice tests over the past many weeks. I've noticed that I consistently get around either a 7/9 or 8/10 on the free-response questions.

On the multiple choice tests that I've taken in an academic setting, I average 100% when my total points are divided by the reported averages.

Does anyone have any idea what these raw scores translate to in terms of the 1-5 scoring?

Are you saying that your MC scores are around the national average?

I doubt that you score 100% on chem MC’s. I think you mean you score at the national average, which to be honest, the national average for AP chem scores is highly skewed into the 2 region. Like that graph of the # of molecules at a certain energy level vs temperature.

I scored 50/75. Would that be around the national average? And I found the appass.com site in another thread, it helped me out :)

no way, 50 is for someone who’d get at least a 4…the national average would be someone who gets 3

I want to thank you then, because that comforts me quite a bit :P

I’d say at least a 4.

5 if MC is 50+
