AP chem exam without the AP chem?

My school has an all honors curriculum which means no AP classes and no regular classes. It's a really good school and all but I want to take the AP chem exam next year. I'm a rising sophomore and I'm taking honors chem (my first year of chem) do you think if I buy a prep book and try to self study that I can pull off a 4 or 5?

You could probably pull off a 4, maybe even a 5. It’s all about the work you put into it.
If you actually study and work through prep books you stand a decent chance at getting a good score. You can always go into school for help outside of class too.

i didn’t remember learning half of the stuff from ap chem in honors chem. That said, the 5 steps to a 5 review book helped a lot and I got a 5.

Okay so how do I think stand when it comes to the chem subject test? I hear it’s a lot easier?
