So Course Request time is coming around. I'm planning to do somehting Medical once im in college so should I take AP Chem junior year and then AP Stats senior year (Im already taking AP bio 10th) or the other way around? If I take AP Chem junior year, I will be taking 5 very hard APs so i was planning to take Stats 11th. However, Im concerned that colleges will think that Im being a slacker by putting off chem until 12th. Any opinions?

i'd recommend apchem....

i took ap chem junior year (one of 5 ap classes....very similar to you) and am currently taking ap stats senior year... i think i made a good decision...taking ap chem made the sat ii chem test really easy

also, taking ap stats senior year is nice because who really wants to do any work senior year? its an easy class, and easier classes make it easier for senioritis to take over.......

Yeah, I took chem junior year and stats senior year. Its really nice in stats right now, all we are doing is prepping for the AP test, so no quizzes and homework only if u dont finish it in class.

Also, chem is a harder course, so getting a high score on it will look better to colleges than a high score on stats.

thanks for the replies, any other opinions?

I'm planning on taking both but how hard is AP Chem?

it really depends on the school and teacher. It is inarguably one of the hardest, if not the hardest AP there is (other than Latin of course).
