I am making my schedule for senior year, and I'm considering AP Chem. How hard is the class? Keep in mind that I took accelerated chemistry, not honors. Would that make a difference in how I would perform in the class?

In my school the levels are:
AP/Honors (Highest)
Accelerated (Middle)
Regular (Lowest)

I took it this year.
To be honest It solely depends on your teacher.
Our teacher was easy but I had no clue how to do the short answers on the actual AP test. You may have a hard teacher who will prepare you well etc.

Agreed with above.
I had a hard teacher.
He gave us a practice AP test as our final and originally considered curving it but when most of us got 90%+ correct he realized he couldn’t.
The class itself, however, was pretty hard. But in some schools it isn’t that challenging of a class.

AP is quite a step above honors. AP is considered college level while honors is still high school level. The general trend is that AP classes are a letter grade more difficult than high school classes. (hence why a AP class A is weighted as a 5.0, while a A is 4.0)

If you got a B in chem honors you could expect C in an AP class. An A in AP chem is going to require more work than an A in honors.
