AP Chinese...AP Stress

I'm only taking AP Euro currently (sophomore, only available AP), but I do take Chinese at a Sunday Chinese school.

I'm wondering how much AP's affect college entrance in the grand scheme of things, and how much time and effort I should be putting into studying.

Ap tests do not have an impact on GPA, correct? Also, please advise me on any tips for the AP chinese test if you have taken it.

There isn't a set amount of AP's that will guarantee your admission.

In my school, AP test scores do effect your GPA, if you pass. The policy is that your grade goes up a letter, so if you have a "B" it makes a real difference. Colleges also admire the fact that you are trying harder classes and it will be easier to get accepted, even if they don't accept your AP credits. Just don't take too many, because it doesn't look too good if your grades drop a lot.

The thing is, I'm not taking AP chinese because I take it at Saturday school, so it doesn't affect my GPA no matter what.

How important are AP scores in comparison with act, sat, the like?

Less important.
But honestly, I would still take it.

take the ap chinese. It would be cool. If u do bad no college will hold u against it cos its ap chinese and if u do well, a college might like it.
