Can anyone tell me when I should take the following SAT Subject Tests (as in which class should be taken before attempting this test)?
Should I bother taking above 3 SAT Subject Tests anyway?
Will I need to study additional materials > 1 week or so?

Literature (AP Lit?)
US History (APUSH?)
World History (APWH?)
Math Lvl. 1 (Alg. 2?)
Math Lvl. 2 (Pre-Calc?)
Chemistry (Chem or AP Chem?)
Physics (AP Physics?)
Spanish (Spanish 3?)

colleges dont really care which ones. however, if you knwo which field u r heading to, take that sat. its easier to take the sats2 which you took an ap class for. my opinion

Don't bother taking more than 3 tests unless you aren't happy with your scores. Schools only look at your highest results.

Here's a more realistic version of your list:
Literature: No prep needed; this is probably THE easiest subject test. There's also a high correlation with your SATI CR score.
US History: Either Honors American History or APUSH. This test is WAY easier than the AP exam.
World History: Honors or AP World History. I haven't taken this test, so I can't be sure.
Math Lvl. 1 (Alg. 2?) Exactly.
Math Lvl. 2 (Pre-Calc?) Exactly. Be sure to know trig backwards and forwards.
Chemistry: You definitely need AP chem. All the science subject tests are disproportionately hard. I took a college-level (but not AP) chemistry class, got a 107% A and still bombed this test.
Physics (AP Physics?) Yep. But you'll need to do hardcore studying beforehand.
Spanish: AP Spanish Lit, or AP Spanish Language if you're going to attempt the Listening test. The problem with the language exams is that native speakers skew the curve. Unless you're basically fluent in Spanish, it's very hard to do well on this subject test.

Lol, I agree that Literature is the easiest subject test (because it's one that's more about ability than preparation), but lots of people would beg to differ -- it's only easy if you're good at that type of questions. Having taken AP Language or Literature gives you a good idea of the type of the questions. It's all that "What did the author mean by this?" stuff.

Physics does not need AP Physics. I took it October 2008, with my only physics class being a normal level physics class sophomore year, and got an 800. I studied for maybe 7 hours. Its much easier than any AP tests in the subject.

I strongly advise you not to take the SATII for World, despite what some people would tell you. I took the AP exam, got a 5, then took the SAT for it thinking I was ready = big mistake. Only got a 690 and since that looks really bad, decided to retake it the following year, still resulting in only a 700. Yeah. I'd say the SAT is much harder for that subject...
