AP Class Grading Debate

I've seen a lot of different people post that they have numeric grades for AP classes, and then get added bonus points on for it being an AP class, which leads to people having 95-105 for a grade.

My AP Chem class is a letter grade, but it's 80=A 65=B 50=C, and the tests she gives us are old AP exams. The highest average in the class is an A-, and most are around a C+/B-.

Assuming people work equally hard, cause I'm sure the overachievers and underachievers balance out in both cases:

Which system do you think is better?

Whaaat?

The AP grading scale at my school is 93=A, 85=B, C=77.. anything lower is no credit.

This is ********, since the GPA is NOT weighed!

Hence, A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, and F=0.

The unweighted/weighted debate? There are tons of threads, but you won't be at a disadvantage if your school doesn't weight. I went to an info seminar and most colleges recalculate the grades anyway

This has nothing to do with weighted vs. unweighted.

It has to do with difficulty of the class.
