So, I'm deciding what AP class to take next year. I'm for SURE taking the following :

CALC B/C
ENGLISH LIT
PSYCHOLOGY

Do you guys recommend me taking another one? Or will that be too overwhelming? (4 is my max; I took 4 this year - my junior year, and I want next year to be easier or about the same)

I'm deciding on these classes :

Gov
Econ
Stats
Physics

Which one is the easiest, or should I just stop at 3?

Stats is ridiculously easy.
I spent maybe 10 minutes a week going through the textbook, just paid attention in class when teacher went over homework in class.
I'm pretty sure of my 5 on the exam today.

Ah, Stats. Thanks. :) That's what I've heard from a few - stats was pretty easy.

Anyone know anything about AP Art History? That might be a choice too..

What 'looks' better on a college app?? Stats or Art Hist?

I hear for Art History you need some decent foundation in writing.

Not sure about the apps thing. But maybe you should take the class if the teacher is alright? I heard my AP Govt. teacher teaches really well and I'm having fun in his class, even though he's giving me C a right now. >< I'm sure I'll do well on the AP though.

Stats and Gov are incredibly easy, I hear (and judging from the material on the test, they should be). Econ is moderately difficult to difficult, and physics really seems to depend on the person: it's incredibly easy for some and killer for others. Basically, that one is all over the board. Psych is also very easy.

OmgItsCollege : I totally agree with you on the good teacher/bad teacher thing.. but the problem is that nobody will have any idea who's even teaching those classes next year (complicated to explain). Quite a dilemma. There's rumors flying about that this teacher or that teacher will teach it, but when I talk to counselors and teachers, no one's giving me a definitive answer.

Annie : hahaha, how weird, I heard that econ was pretty easy and gov was like history (which is a difficult subject for me).

Ok, I suppose I'm choosing stats then. Unless anyone has some horror stories about that class to reveal? Hahaha. Thanks guys.

You should definitely take 4 - Psych and Eng Lit aren't really very demanding. Stats, Econ, and Govt are all much easier and less time intensive than Physics.

Econ is difficult? Huh? It's INSANELY easy. Easily one of the easiest subjects.

Personally, I'd take Gov, because in my experience it's much more interesting than the other classes. But then again, I'm a social science type of guy.

I agree completely with Ray. Econ is ridiculously easy, and Gov is a lot of fun.

Stats was definitely not easy

i had the exam yesterday and I was confident on a 5..but those FRQs killed me...hopefully the curve is better and lets me still get that 5

but its not as easy as people say..in years past it has but if next year is like this year...its HARD

How well you do on the exam and in class really depends on the teacher. If there's a new instructor teaching the course, it's generally safest not to take the course that he/she is teaching unless you're already really strong in that subject area. I tell you this from experience.

Lit and Psych are pretty easy, so any of your choices are a good bet. If you want college credit/placing out of advanced college courses (which can be very useful in the future!) Stats and Physics will get you the farthest as most colleges will accept credit for those. Econ credit at most of the really competitive colleges often requires you to get a 5 on both Macro and Micro which can be a real pain. And Gov doesn't tend to get credit, though obviously you should check the AP credit policies of the colleges you're considering. Calc BC is definitely a good choice, too :)

Computer Science A --> easiest exam I've ever taken
only took 1 semester to learn all the material, entire 2nd semester was spent preparing for the exam

but u should definitely check what the colleges you're applying to accept for credit.

um, stats is hard for me cause our teacher is rediculous.

I think AP Physics would look best on a college App.

if you want something easy, take Gov--> very easy AP test; or take Econ, which i've also heard is quite easy.

Dont take GOV, IT IS HORRIBLE.

That is all
