AP Classes? AP Economics?

I’m a junior currently, and soon (apparently) we’re going to be making schedules for senior year

My school doesn’t offer any honors classes for seniors other than math, which is great considering I mainly take honors, so the question is should I take AP classes if I never have taken any?

I never took one so I have no clue what they’re like other than what I heard from my friends (and they’re not good things which kind of makes me want to stay away from them even more)

Right now I’m just thinking of taking AP Economics; would that be hard for someone who has never taken AP classes though? We talked about it during my history class and it didn’t seem too bad compared to AP gov. I mean I’m taking a college class for American History currently and I don’t think it’s that bad once I adjusted; so would I technically be okay for an AP class or at least AP Economics?

But also the thing that worries me as well, let’s say if I don’t take any AP/college classes next year it will be for the most part filled with academic classes. Wouldn’t that look like I’m slacking off to colleges if I just went from honors/college classes to academic ones for senior year?

Thanks in advance for the responses!

Yes, it would be great to take AP Economics. Just taking one would not be hard at all and it will prepare you for college courses in the near future!

It would look bad if you were to take all academic classes as a senior and could lead to you offers being rescinded. You should take at least a couple honors courses. AP Econ is considered one of the easiest APs so it shouldn’t be too difficult.

AP econ is really easy and barely any work, you’ll be fine. If you’re aiming for competitive private schools, I’d suggest adding more AP classes, but if you’re looking at state universities, spare yourself the work.

AP Econ would be a great fit. Don’t blow it off of course, but if you do your homework you will be fine, especially considering your math background.
