So guys I was just wondering about something. I’ve already signed up for my classes for my Junior year and stuff, but I was wondering what AP classes I should take my senior year. I want to take all of them but some of them don’t interest me and won’t be that beneficial to my future. Any insight on AP classes I should take Senior year (I’m planning to go into pharmacy). Maybe I’m planning too early, but I like planning.
AP Human Geography
AP World History (taken Sophomore year)
AP US History (taking Junior year)
AP Language & Composition (taking Junior year)
AP Literature & Composition
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
AP Psychology (taking Junior year)
AP Calculus AB (won’t be able to take unless I skip PreCal)
AP Calculus BC
AP Statistics
AP Music Theory
AP Art History
I wish my school had AP Physics and Computer Science A, but they don’t, not even online.
Online Courses:
AP Comparative Government
AP American Government
You should definitely take AP Chemistry and/or AP Bio (if you think you can handle both)
I don’t know about the others, but if you don’t get to calc in high school then you might want to double up on AP Stat and precalc
Depends on how many you’d be willing to take?
I’m going to list the best ones
Definitely take AP Human. It’s extremely easy to get an A and a 5 on the exam, and it’s enjoyable.
AP Chem/Biology are both classes that look AMAZING on college transcripts. It takes studying and dedication, but it’s fun to learn. If you’re looking for a science field in your future, these classes are a must!
AP Statistics is also really easy!!
AP Comparative Government is easier than American Government online, honestly.
AP Music Theory is hard if you aren’t very adamant in learning music and if you don’t have a passion or affinity for music.
AP Art History requires a passion in art and history combined. If you don’t like either of those topics, you might not want to take this class.
I really don’t think you should take more than 3 or 4 ap’s because, lemme tell you, senioritis will hit you hard. I would definitely suggest you take Ap chem since you’re going into pharmecy.
Thanks (as always still open to opinions). So far my schedule will look like this for Senior Year. My school makes us plan this even though I’m only a Sophomore and I really don’t mind.
AP Literature (it’s a relatively simple course)
AP Bio (I enjoy biology anyways)
AP Chem
AP Human Geography (could’ve taken it Freshman year but didn’t know how I’d do in high school)
AP Statistics
Another 2 electives
These electives can be APs. The college I plan to apply to requires a fine arts credit so AP Art History is a definite option, plus I enjoy history. AP Music Theory doesn’t seem interesting so that might or might not be an option.
What is your schedule this year?
@IAmNotCreativ
This Year (Sophomore)
AP World History
HAVPA (fine arts credit)
Agribiology (Biology)
Animal Science
English II
Pre-AP Geometry
Spanish II
Next Year (Junior)
AP US History
AP Language & Composition
AP Psych
Pre-AP Algebra II
Anatomy & Physiology
Chemistry
Either Floriculture or Spanish III
@ReesesPuffs Yeah I’ve heard it really messes with people and they just fall of their senior year, which wouldn’t be so great. AP Bio and AP Chem are definitely my first choices. If I feel like I could do more ill consider other options then.
I think you should just choose one AP science and Spanish 3
I’ll probably switch to Spanish III. If I go with one science it’ll be chem, but from my friends who are taking AP Bio and AP Chem their senior year they’ve said both aren’t too bad. AP Bio has a lot more homework than AP Chemistry. But it’ll depend on how hard my schedule is and what I feel I can handle.
Okay so I’ve already signed up for three AP Classes my Junior year (AP US History, AP Psychology, and AP Lang), but I want to look ahead for my senior year since my counselor said if students know what AP classes they plan to take senior year, she may be able to reserve spots in those classes for us. Here are my choices at my school:
AP Literature and Composition
AP Chemistry
AP Biology
AP Environmental Science (possibly)
AP Human Geography
AP World History (taken already)
AP Music Theory
AP Art History
AP Spanish Language
Out of those, I plan to take five: AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Lit, AP Enviro Science (if offered), and AP HG. I know most people recommend not taking more than one AP science, but our AP Bio teacher is really good (I have him for normal Biology now) and he’d be the one teaching AP Enviro Science too. Our AP Lit teacher is also known for being very good. I’m just at a dilemma because many colleges don’t accept AP HG and our AP Chemistry teacher isn’t the greatest from what I’ve heard. However, I will have normal Chemistry my Junior year so I’ll already have a background in it. Any suggestions? I would go for AP Spanish but I’m not that great at the language (it’s just hard for me to grasp) so I wouldn’t do so great on the exam.
