AP Classes

I want to be a Computer Engineer when I am in college. I learned that it requires a lot of physics and calculus. I am in 10th grade

Should I do

Basic physics and pre calc for 11th, then Physics C and Calc AB for 12th
or
AP Physics 1 and Pre Calc, then Physics C and Calc AB/BC.

Any help is appreciated.

Depends on how hard you’re willing to work and how hard the class is at your school. Ask people at your school how difficult each class and ask your teachers which path they would recommend for you.
Are there any honors classes offered at your school?

There are, but there is on Physics 1, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, and AP Physics C: Mechanics

I believe AP Physics 1 can be taken without prior physics knowledge.

I think you have the best list and order of courses here:

AP Physics 1 and Pre Calc, then Physics C and Calc AB/BC

My son is a junior and this is the best sequence offered at his school too.

I agree with the above. I’m currently taking the Pre Calc/AP Physics 1 combo and they supplement each other nicely.

Thank you all, I am going to do this paired up with AP Comp Sci. Are there any other AP Classes you would recommend taking for junior year ( not really a good writer).

What classes are available to you and what grad requirements have you yet to complete.
You’ll want to take at least one year each of chem, bio, and physics. At least 3 years of history (preferable 4), 3 years of FL (preferably 4), and 4 years of English.
Of the classes you take each year, you’ll want to take at least 5 at Honors/GT/AP/IB level.

I took Chem last year, and I am in Bio this year. Should I do DE College US History (does it involve a ton of writing?) I think history is kind of interesting

Math
AP Computer Science
Pre Calculus

Science
AP Physics 1

English
Honors English 11

Social Studies
US History (Not sure if I should do DE College US History)

Electives
Economics and Personal Finance (Might do over the summer to free up a class)
Electronic Systems I
