Please help! I applied to AP World History, and I got accepted. But now I am not sure if I should remove myself from the class. I am really scared since I heard there is a lot of homework. I can barely handle the homework I am given, but I also have good grades. Should I quit the class?
If you feel like the work will completely overwhelm you and drag your performance in your other classes down, think about removing yourself. But if you think you can handle the challenge, try it out!
Have you experienced an AP workload before or is this your first AP?
This is my first AP class.
My daughter took it and it was a crazy amount for work. I think it was partly her teacher, but still, it dominated her life in 10th grade. I still don’t think it should have been the first AP she took. She got all A’s in it and a great score on the test, and learned a lot, but still…
What other classes are you going to be taking? How much work are these other classes? How have you done in your classes this year?
I will be taking Honors literature, chemistry, and possibly Honors geometry aside from AP. I am not sure how much work these classes are though. This year I had As and Bs I my classes, with mostly As.
