Hey i was just wondering how much of an emphasis colleges place on ap classes? I mean like is 10 ap classes that much different from 9 ap classes? I need to know because i am thinking about dropping my ap english literature class and would like to know if this will put me at a disadvantage.

Oh yeh i forgot to mention that i already took ap english composition junior year and if i were to drop ap english, i would take the honors class.

It wouldn't make much of a difference at all.

no it wouldn't. My friend hates english but she took it junior year and is switching to honors senior year. Guidance told her that it's no problem as long as she takes some other AP classes in her schedule.

Btw, what does (10 char) mean? I see it often.

Did you do well in English Lang? The only thing that would concern me is if you did well and dropped down to honors. Might look a little lazy, especially if you're looking at top schools.

I did alright, i think i ended up with a 93 or 94 overall in the class and a 4 on the ap test. However, it didnt feel like i deserved the grades i was getting sometimes because most of the time i just bsed all the essays...

chinny, the (10 char) is just to make the post at least 10 characters because that is the minimum allowed in a post.
