AP, CLEP, and other college toward the degree?

So, all the quesiotns below are regarding UCLA.

I was one of those who are admitted into UCLA earlier, but I would like to earn my BS in Biochem in 3yrs....and dreaming about 2(is that even possible?)

The question being what's the maximum units you can get from all the credits by examination programs? (AP, CLEP, other colleges, etc).

My ultimate goal is to go to a med school (any will do, haha).

I have 12 AP, and according to the AP policy of college of letter and science, it's equivalent to about 58 units, and since I saw it takes about 180~205 to graduate, it's literally about 1/3 of the graduation requirement. I konw that the reality is not so fancy though LOL.

I am also planning on taking summer sessions in UCLA and other community colleges, which being said can get 7 units at the most each session. In addition, I am planning on taking one or two CLEP tests (Do UCLA take them?)

So, in the most optimistic way, when I enter UCLA as a freshmen, I can have 58 (AP) + 7 (summer) + 3~6 (CLEP) = 68~71 units. And if everything goes well, I can possibly graduate in three yrs or a little bit less.... most optimistically LOL.

But I have some concerns:
1. Is it true that if you are majoring in Biochem, your AP bio and AP chem counts for nothing? (Do you have to take the introductory courses ANYWAYS?)
2. Does UCLA take CLEP tests? (as mentioned)
3.I heard that college credits transferring other than other UCs are not calculated into your GPA, does this mean I can just get a C or B on those courses?
4. How does graduating in 3yrs look to Med school ? (given that I can complete their required courses)
5. Is it possible... just saying, to graduate in 3 or even...2yrs? from UCLA?

Would like UCLA alumini to answer, but all comments would be greatly appreciated.

AP credit counts for class standing, which will help with enrollment times. Yes, you still have to take the classes.

I’ve never even heard of CLEP so I’m assuming that means UCLA does not take them.

I believe so, but don’t quote me on that.

I don’t think it matters. The only thing is you might have less research and stuff under your belt for your med school app.

Biochem = 31 classes. GEs = 6 classes. Assuming your APs included English and a foreign language, that’s 37 classes. If not then you might have to add on up to 4 more classes. Assuming 37 classes divided by 3 years with summers, that’s a little over 3 classes per quarter (on average). Should be doable as long as you are able to get the classes you need (that might be the hardest part). If you do 2 years you’d be regularly taking 5 classes a quarter and you might die… not to mention go over your unit cap.
