I signed up for the exam in the beginning of May and I’m looking for some tips on how to prepare?
At the moment, I’m going through the java free response questions on their website (https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/apcourse/ap-computer-science-a/exam-practice) and reading the 6th edition of Barron’s AP CS A.
In school, I’m enrolled in IB Computer Science, but we don’t go as deep into java tbh
From your experience, is there anything else I should try doing that would help?
Try to practice using the 2014 exam, and the sample exams on the course outline. IMO, the barron’s review book is heavily concept-based which the AP Exam isn’t, at least not to the same degree. From what I can tell, a lot of the MC on the actual exam is predicting output and choosing the proper code for a task.
