So I found this amazing program online called Stanford Engineering Everywhere(SEE) which offers an introductory Computer Science class. Since I am home schooled and my mother(teacher) barely knows how to use a computer, this would help me out alot. Unfortunately, the course extensively uses sections(small study groups because it is a large lecture class) and so I am trying to start an online section. Would anybody be interested in joining? This would included (I think) watching the lectures, doing the assignments, helping each other go over the assignments and just basically going through the class together.

I would love to do something like this! Since they stream the lessons, they start in September, right? I’m not sure if I’m able to, depending on EC’s but this looks awesome.

Actually they recorded the videos in 2010 I think but the lectures are online and you can access them anytime so it doesn’t have to wait until September. I don’t know what your summer looks like but we could start any time!

My summer is too devoid of things to do… -_- Which course were you thinking of doing, or did you want to do all three?

I wanted to just start with the first one(CS106A) because that is what AP Computer Science is most closely aligned to but if the course goes great then maybe we could try the second one…I just want to see how it pans out. Which ones were you interested in? Maybe you are already past the knowledge of the first course.

Haha, no… Doing the first one’s cool with me.
