I know this is already been discussed in older threads but I thought a fresh one would be good and fun. Would you guys have any new AP courses. I honestly would like to see more government and politics courses.
AP European Government (a comparative perspective?)
AP International Law and Politics
AP U.S. Law
What are your guys’ ideas and what content would it have? I’m a junior so I highly doubt I will see any of these during my high school career.
LOL. You won’t see any of these in your grandchildren’s HS career.
AP Engineering or Law as well.
There are probably already too many low value (in terms of getting subject credit and advanced placement in college) APs already.
However, some of them have incentivized high schools to offer additional good courses to their students (e.g. AP human geography, AP CS principles), showing how the AP program has gone beyond its original purpose of allowing advanced high school students to get advanced placement in college for some common college-frosh-level subjects, and how many high schools seem to have little desire to offer additional good courses to their students when there is no “prestigious” external incentive.
