Hey. I'm looking to take AP Chem, AP Physics C, AP French, and AP US History my junior year. Is this courseload too hard? I mean I feel like I'm just gonna be loaded, especially since my school (tjhsst) is highly competitive.

I'm sure lots of the people here take more AP courses than this so do you guys have any advice?

Will these courses be worth it for the long run or are they only to pad a resume?

In general, most people here will tell you not to take a class if you have no genuine interest in it. But I believe it's worth it. Yes, you have a rough schedule (at least in my opinion), but it is manageable. It's your junior year, so you KNOW you're going to have to work hard anyway. I'm going to be a junior too, so good luck to us both!!! Impressive school by the way...

I agree. I think it's worth it, too, but classes are harder if you don't have a genuine interest in it. For those classes you don't completely like, you'll need to work twice as hard.

The only class I'm taking that's not AP and I didn't have an AP I could take is Physics....and it's horrible. I love my AP classes because ever though they're ridiculously hard, they're challenging...

There are only two reasons why one should take an AP class: either the subject is genuinely appealing to you or you want to get that certain core subject out of the way in college.

...and how many of these types of questions are asked, I wonder.

It's up to you and different for everyone in each circumstance so what's really the point in asking these types of "ololizit2hard?" and "isitworthit". Common sense is that it depends, but meh, good luck.

AP classes aren't hard at all for me. For others they are like death. Everybody is different... By high school graduation ill have successfully pwned 19 AP classes along with 2 dual enrollment calculus classes (taught in school) with minimal effort.
I take ap classes because i dont want to be surrounded by total retards... Also, ap classes usually have less busy work and meaningless assignments, although a lot more textbook reading is usually assigned.
