AP credit and placement exams?

SBU’s website says that AP scores must be received before orientation day or else one can’t register for classes on that day.
However, my orientation day is on July 7th, and AP scores come out on the 6th… the scores won’t get there in time; specifically my Calc score for math placement.

Should I call SBU? Print out my scores from CB’s website and bring it with me?

And I’ve read the website, but just by simply sending the scores will qualify me for placing out of a course?

Also, if I’m a CS major and have a 4 on the AP, should I study for the Chem placement and try to get placed into CHE 152?

Yes, bring any scores you have with you, and we’ll override whatever we need to do in the system that day.

If you’re a CS major with a 4 on AP Chem, then you’re done; you won’t need to take more Chem unless you really want to.
