I read on the site with the AP credit chart that Faculty of Science students can only get credit for non-science AP scores. In other words, I got a score that would have tested me out of a couple of the required 1st year Science courses, like Bio and Chem. Someone on this forum told me that still holds true.

Anyone got a definite answer and an explanation?

hi!
I talked to my advisor about AP credits too.
It seems like you can get credit for science AP scores too.
I took AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Stats, AP Calc AB and AP Calc BC and I'm exempted for all the science required courses in my freshman year except the two physics courses.
The following is the e-mail that I got from my advisor.
I hope this helps.

You will receive the following credits and exemptions from your AP results as follows: AP Chem. 8 credits & exemption from CHEM 110 & 120, AP Biol. 6 credits and exemption from BIOL 111 & 112, Stats 3 credits and exemption from either MATH 203 or PSYC 204. If you pass AP Cal BC you will receive 7 credits and exemption from MATH 140 & 141, but if you do not achieve a score of 4 or better you will only receive 3 credits and exemption from MATH 140. Your total advance credits will be either 20 or 24. If you receive 24 credits you will be eligible to declare your major, and you should contact the relevant department adviser to discuss your course selection when you arrive at McGill. Don't forget that you will still need to complete PHYS 101 & 102.
