I've taken five AP tests, one this year, and have some questions about the credit I would receive.

With regards to AP English, I've heard that you can only get credit for one of the two courses. Is this true? I got a 4 on AP Lang, and am waiting on results from AP Lit, which I took this year.

I received a 5 on AP Bio, a 4 on both AP Chem and AP Environmental, and a 3 on AP USH. What classes would those potentially get me out of, and would it be a good idea to skip those classes? My major is Animal and Poultry Science, because I know that would make a difference.

Here’s a link to the current AP credit information for VT: [AP, IB, & CLEP Credit | University Registrar | Virginia Tech](http://www.registrar.vt.edu/registration/tests_for_credit.php#AP)

You can get credit for either AP English Lang or Literature but not both. I’d suggest you look at the course checklist for the Animal and Poultry Science major and mark off the potential credits from the AP credit sheet in the link above. Some course credit (e.g., your AP US Hist) will likely be used to fulfill liberal arts electives.

This is another really helpful chart when sorting out AP credits. (For example, this makes it more clear that your 4 on AP Lang gets you out of both freshman English classes, etc.)

Also, there was a thread about AP credit a few weeks ago that might answer some of your questions:

Hope this was helpful!
