My DD will likely have more than 45 credits from AP Exams.
How do you let UF know which AP credits you want to take credit for? If you have lets say 52 credits, how do you only select 45?

To start with - admissions makes there best guess based on major about what should count. If the advisor wants to make a change or the student has decided to change majors then the advisor has access to make any changes.
Presuming you mean the limitation listed here:
https://catalog.ufl.edu/UGRD/academic-advising/exam-credit/#awardofincomingcreditstext
You may want to ask directly if all AP scores can count for subject credit (i.e. fulfilling specific courses) and advanced placement, even if capped at 45 credits.
UF subject credit is listed here:
https://catalog.ufl.edu/UGRD/academic-advising/exam-credit/#examstext
Note that those with course number L000 do not fulfill any requirements. So if the cap requires you to discard the subject credit for some AP scores, choose those with course number L000 to discard.
UF does a decent job of selecting the 45 credits that will count, but like Melissa96 said, you can always have an adviser change the mix, after school starts. You may not see which credits were selected, until mid August.
@Melissa96, does UF require AP scores to be sent directly from College Board or is it ok if they are on high school transcript?
@girlsrule They need to come from college board - since we get them electronically, there is no need to pay for rush.
@melissa96, thank you! We weren’t sure because UF had the scores at preview. We will get College Board to send them.
The students put in their test scores as part of preview prep and they are used for advising - that definitely gets students confused about what is here and what we need.
Can anyone give possible reasons why my student’s AP credits were not applied by UF?
@negsplits - have your student stop by Criser and we can see what is happening in this situation.
@negsplits18 my sophomore son and I found an error on his transcript a few weeks ago that was from a typo, from before his freshman year. Whoever entered the class number that he received credit for AP Chem typed in the wrong class number, so it did not apply credit for the State General Education requirement.
This is after he was told to, and took a different physical science class in his freshman year (Extreme Weather) by an advisor that ended up not counting towards the Gen Ed requirement either. (So that was a wasted class). In his last meeting with the advisor a month ago, she told him to take a physical science to cover the Ged Ed requirement and I called BS. So, I went through his transcript and compared it to the AP Credit table on UF’s website and found the error…
Sometimes you have to just do things yourself if you want them done correctly…
