18 units or more (I think 21 units is the max) (higher tuition and fees).</p>

<p>IU is pretty liberal about granting credit for AP scores and work done at community college. It's not uncommon for freshmen to enter with thirty or forty hours of AP/community college credit. Two people in the Kelley direct admit online chat last week said that they both were coming in or came in as freshmen with forty hours of credit. </p>
<p>How much the credits help you in taking fewer courses at IU depends a lot on your major. A few that would help toward classes required to take the I-Core iat Kelley would be micro and macroeconomics and calculus (I don't think there is an AP score that could get you out of finite math). Foreign language would help if you satisfied the international dimension of the 27 hour credit core by taking six hours of a foreign language at the two hundred level.</p>

<p>It depends on the courses you have ap credit for, how many ap credits you have, and your major in Kelley, as some business majors (accounting especially) have lots of required courses with lots of pre-requisites. Majors like entrepreneurship and management require very few Kelley hours past the I-Core and the I-Core pre-requisites compared to accounting and finance.</p>
