AP credit

hey guys, so finally got my AP scores
here are some quick questions:

1) How do we check what class level we are with AP credits? Does that even matter?

2) Do we have to take AP credit or can we repeat the course? I am especially interested in the fact that if I received a 5 on Calc BC and AB, I can still take Math 16A and B right?

3) AP credits do add towards our goal of 120 to graduate right? Is there a place where we can check how many units we have already completed so far so we know how much we have to still do to reach 120?

thanks

1) * Freshman: under 30 units completed
* Sophomore: at least 30 but less than 60 units
* Junior: at least 60 but less than 90 units
* Senior: at least 90 units
Once AP credits are posted to bearfacts, your academic record page should list the # of units you have. The higher class standing you have the earlier your telebears appt time should be.

2) Yes, most counselors actually encourage students to retake vs passing out.

3) Use DARS (degree audit reporting system) thru bearfacts under the academic record tab to check your progress toward graduation. AP credits will help towards grad credits.

Hope this helps...

"hope this helps?" you bet
thanks

too bad nothing has been updated on bearfacts yet...its there on myberkeley though
wonder if it will be there tomorrow...

im guessing if i take math 16a and b, i will not get extra credit for calc bc and ab....right? its either one of the other

yea, the updates to bearfacts are slooooow. There's literally a "pair of ladies meticulously entering AP scores and transfer credit into the system" according to my counselor.

you'll still get credit for bc and ab even if you take the 16 series. The credits from your ap calc and 16 series will appear on bearfacts and transcript. I retook math 1b despite having bc calc and both still show.
