does anyone know what gwu's policy is for ap credit?

It’s all on the website -
[Bringing Credit to GW - The George Washington University](http://www.gwu.edu/apply/undergraduateadmissions/applytogw/bringingcredittogw) OR

[Advanced Placement (AP) Credit - The George Washington University](http://www.gwu.edu/apply/undergraduateadmissions/applytogw/bringingcredittogw/apcredit)

yahh… but it says 3 hours? or 6 hours? what does that mean/

3 credits or 6 credits

you have to get above 4 to get the AP credit at GW. 3’s don’t count

In some foreign languages, you may need to get a 5. S didn’t get credit for Spanish with a 4.

That is odd about the languages - French and Italian are the same way (need a 5 for credit), but for Chinese, German, and Japanese you can get one semester credit for a 4

What made it even worse was that S took the Spanish AP the year it was revised & even HS Spanish teachers had no idea what the test would be like to be able to adequately prepare students. Getting a 4 was very good under the circumstances. It would be nice if there was more uniformity across departments at GW.
