AP Credits for Physics?

I just checked the AP credits chart for NYU Stern (<a href="http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/emplibrary/APstanding-Fall2009.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://w4.stern.nyu.edu/emplibrary/APstanding-Fall2009.pdf</a>) and saw that for AP Physics C scores of 4 or 5 on each exam grants either 3 or 5 credits.

Does this mean I get to choose the amount of credits for each exam for physics C?

Does it mean that 5 is, e.g., for V85.0011 and 3 is for V85.0091 as course equivalents, that you have to look at the NYU course descriptions to know?

^ No, AP Physics will not place you out of V85.0011 or any courses in the Physics department. General Physics I and II both require calculus and are a lot harder than HS physics classes, which require minimal math.

If you’re a non-science major just looking to get credits, then a 4 or 5 on the exam will give you credits. But if you’re a science or pre-health student, it doesn’t place you out of the introductory gen physics class.

I’m just looking for elective credits but I want to know whether my scores will give me 6 credits or 10 credits total because it does not specify.
