If you get AP credit for a course (ex: a 5 on AP Bio and get credit for BSC 2010 and 2011) does that mean your GPA for that course at UF is an A or is your GPA not affected?

You do not receive a grade for any AP Credits you get credit for. They're just added to the totaly amount of credits you have earned.

So would it be better for me to take BSC 2010 and 2011 and get an A even if i get a 5 on the AP exam or should i just take the credit?

In my opinion, I would take BSC2010 and BSC2011. They are demanding and hard classes, but they prepare you for Med School. AP classes are usually never as demanding or at the college level as really college courses. If you got a 5 in AP Biology then I'm sure you won't have that big of a problem taking BSC2010 and BSC2011, and if you get the A or B in the class, it will definitely look better on your college transcript then just having the AP credit for it. I've heard Med Schools can be picky with what AP classes you acce[t credit for, but I'm not sure. If you're still uncertain, talk with an advisor when you go to Preview.

I recommend retaking any classes that are prereq's for med school. My only exception is math classes.
