AP difficulty in YOUR school

Hardest - Euro (3 As out of 60 kids)
- Gov (very hard but only 2nd sem senior year so who really cares)

Medium- Calc, US History, Spanish, Bio, Chem, Physics B, Comp Sci, Eng Lit, Eng Lang

Easy- Envi Sci, Econ (I thought econ was a joke. Maybe it just made sense to me)

These are the ones Ive taken/taking. Overall, the mediums probably lean towards easy.

Hardest: Biology (basically kills everyone), Calc BC (basically the same), US, Physics C, Spanish Lit
Medium: Physics B, Micro/Macro, Euro, Chem, Calc AB, Spanish Lang, English Lang/Lit, World Hist
Easy: Env. Sci, Psychology, Statistics

Don't know about the rest - my HS offers like all of them.

wow im really not seeing any sort of consistency...all over the place

Hardest: USH, Physics C M/E&M, Chemistry

Medium: English, Euro

Easy: Calc AB & BC, Comp Sci. A, Stats, Biology, Music Theory, the art ones

i've taken 3 aps. my school pretty muchonly offers english, us, bio and calc every year. we had spanish and world last year only, physics this year only and we've never had govt or econ. most of our ap offerings are based on how many would be willing to take the course and if we can find a teacher to teach it. (small public competitive hs) spanish was prettyy hard, english is a cinch for me & stats is pretty easy given i'm not a math person.

Hardest: Physics C Mech+E/M, Calculus BC, Modern Euro, US

Medium: Chemistry, Calc AB, English, Bio

Easiest: Enviro, SPanish (easy teacher), Comp Sci, Music Theory, Stats

Hardest: Calc BC, Chem, Physics
Medium: English Lit, Calc AB
Easiest: US History, Spanish, French

Hardest: Physics, Calc AB, Chemistry
Medium: Biology, Psychology
Easiest: English Lit, Language

Hardest: AP Physics, AP English (the teacher is GREAT but there's SO much essay writing and her standards are very high), AP Calculus, AP Music Theory (why do people think this class is easy...it's NOT...and the exam isn't easy either...this is coming from a 7 year jazz/classical musician)

Medium: AP Biology (not as hard as I thought it was going to be), AP Economics (the teacher doesn't know the subject), AP Spanish, AP Chemistry, AP Psychology (tough teacher) AP Art, AP Computer Science

Easiest: AP US History (all we did was watch movies and eat lol...that's why only one person got above a 3 last year), AP Statistics, AP World History, AP Language (the teacher is a joke)

calc bc = uncurved +no partial credit

F***ing grade deflation. Our school needs a federal reserve board on grades.

"calc bc = uncurved +no partial credit"

Welcome to the real world.

Hardest: Sweet christ Physics C, by far. There's one section for ~500 kids, and it started the year with 24 kids. We're at 16 now.

Easiest: Environmental Science, Lit, Stats

Hardest: Physics (not sure if it's C or what), Chem (no one ever drops below a C, but only because she pads the tests like crazy w/busy work!), Calc BC, and Art Studio (they have like 12 friggin' projects per quarter!)

Easiest: AP Psych, AP Art History. I personally found AP World to be really easy, too.

hardest= calc bc (no curves), ap chem
easiest= ap statistics

For those who say the Music Theory AP is easy, how well do students do on the AP test?

Hardest: Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Medium: English
Easiest: Stats, Psych, Enviro. Sci, Spanish

Hardest: Chem
Easiest: US Govt.

hardest: bio, calc ab

medium: french, spanish, calc bc, english lit, chem, us hist, w hist, studio art

easy: art hist, stat, envi sci, english lang

At my school the US History AP was easy, and it didn't take much to make a high 'A', just study the day before the tests and you'll make a 98. If you don't study, listen in class, or mainly, do your homework, then that's a different story. Our AP class was easy, and therefore, had its advantages and disadvantages. It was easy = not much work and stress for students. It was easy = I didn't pass the AP exam. I'd rather have a rigorous, tough class than one that, on the AP level, is a blow-off.

1337hax0r, the hardness of the classes depends on the teacher.
