So I'm ready to submit my app, and it says that I'll have 59.5 units completed and not meet Junior transfer requirements. I passed my AP english test with a score of 3, and the TAG app totaled it up above 60 units.

Also, in the academic history section > transferable courses its says this:

Prior to transfer, you need to complete two transferable college courses in English composition (not including English as a second language courses). You reported just the one course listed below.

ENGL A101 - Critical Reasoning, Reading and Writing Through Literature

What is the status of the second course?

-Already completed with a grade of C or better
-In progress
-Planned
-None planned/not completed

.... what should I do? Is this why my AP credit isn't adding up? I'm not sure, but I think my AP English credit fulfills ENG 100, so should I just check the already completed box along with the course information?

(shoot.. title was supposed to say NOT, not BOT :/ )

I input the ENGL 100 information in the Academic History section… but it still says that I have 59.5 units, when I shouldn’t with my AP credit. Anyone? :/

i called in and the guy said to select “none planned” and then comment about this in the additional comments… but i’m going to verify it tomorrow since the guy seemed as confused as me!

i’ve having the same problem with my units… i’m missing 17 because my AP units aren’t counting arghhh but i’m going to ask about that too when they open…

i hear while you get subject credit for eng100 or ewrt 1a (as its called in my school) in your ccc, you might not get the units from the uc. they usually take 4s/5s. this may be the case, or i just may be confusing the situation further. i have an ap english score of 3 as well but i also have over 90 units so i dont need to rely on them for units…

redoplease, I’ve checked with both UCSD & UCSB on their websites and they accept an AP English score of 3. TAG also included it in the overall units as well…

I’ve already emailed them, and I’m thinking I’ll call as well to sort this out. I just hope my AP units add up, I need them!

yeah they take the score in lieu of the class but i’m not sure if they give you units or not, depends on the school. i was worried about this too. whatevs good luck with your situation

Just talked to UC representative on the hotline number.

He said that it’s like a glitch. Just write what section your AP score is fulfilling in the additional comments section under Academic History. Also write that your AP score will be used to fulfill the 60 unit requirement. Thats it!
