ap english lang -- easy?!?

I looked in the "easiest AP exam" thread, but nobody seemed to answering the question I wanted...

I really don't want to take AP English Lang next year, because I suck at getting my homework in on time, I am godawful at projects and hw and all that ****. I'm pretty good at english though...if I can pass, i still get the .5 credit on my GPA....so do you think it would be a good idea to just take the AP Lang test w/o taking the class?
Or will I learn a lot just being in that class, despite the GPA crushing that it does?

(Or should I take the AP LIT exam instead, so I can take normal english in 12th grade? Im pretty good at all that essay writing and reading comp analysis.)

depends...how good are u in english? If your not good at long passages that are boring with multiple choice, then it might not be so good for you unless you can practice and bring yourself up to it. I think u should take AP eng lang, before you take AP lit, AP lit has to deal a lot with analyzing passages and poems etc.. I would not imagine that either of the 2 are the "easiest AP exam", for that answer most people will probably say Psychology or Art History.

If you think you will do good in AP lit because of ur essay and comp analysis skills then you might as well take Ap eng lang

I found the exam extremely easy. the course will help you develop your writing skills and other than that its just practice that you could easily do on your own

If I were you I wouldn't take it. The good AP Eng Language classes do a ton of work. Many people had far better english skills in terms of writing essays or figuring out the meaning but they didn't work as hard as me. They ended up getting from the B to A minus range while I got an A.

I'm taking it right now and I'm finishing up but I really hate it. I'd only suggest taking it if you really like reading novels and writing papers.

Don't get me wrong I learned quite a bit but if I could go back in time I'd punch myself in the face for considering taking the class. Also, I'm pretty sure if you tried to take the exam without the class you would most likely get like a 3. However, if you really think you are good at the type of stuff that is on the exam ,I'd look get a practice book from the library and try a couple passages w/MC and see how you do.
