Hi, so I signed up for ap lang for my junior year but i'm not sure if it was a good idea or not. I also signed up for ap econ, ap music theory, regular physics, precalc, and some other random stuff. Is it too much for me to handle? Would you say ap lang is easier or ap lit is easier?

I took apush this year and it was the worst. I'm not even sure why I took the class because I do not like history. I got out with a really high B first semester and I think I might land with a C this semester...I didn't take the ap test yet so I'm not sure if my "history skills" are good or not. This was also the first ap class I took so I kind of have an idea of what ap classes are like (or maybe not haha).

What would you say about what I should do? Oh and I think I should mention that i'm a major procrastinator. And i'm really really bad at procrastinating...

I think you should give AP English Language a try, and if you feel overwhelmed, then switch out! The AP English Language curriculum varies from high school to high school, so I can’t really give you an answer as to how hard it is; it really depends in your teacher and how they run the class. One thing that is constant, however, is the AP Exam, which I just took this morning! It’s challenging, but worth it.

AP Lang is much easier than AP Lit. Ap Lang focuses on writing, and in class thats basically all you do, along with learning HOW to write. It’s one of the easiest AP’s. however, I heard AP Music Theory is tricky. Good luck.

I took APUSH my Sophomore year and AP English Lang my Junior year, and I believe that because APUSH is for the most part, people’s first AP, it is a lot more overwhelming than APs that you take afterward. I scraped by with a 90 flat in APUSH through tedious note taking, studying, and general hard work, however, in AP Language, I have no problem getting high 90’s (97s/98s) with a lot less effort. Granted, I’m a very English minded person and writing is my strong suit, however, I believe that anyone can succeed and grow as a writer through AP English.

Of all the APs I’ve taken, AP English has had the most impact on me in terms of improving how I communicate in my school work and with others. I’d definitely recommend it.

I know in my school, the AP language & comp. students write an essay about every week. Preamble1776 is right on this one, AP language & comp. is very useful.
