Ok so I need to chose one for next year. I just took the English Lang test and I'm pretty sure I passed. So for max college credit should I take English 4 ap or English 1A?

If you’re going to take a full year college English class, you’ll probably get more credits that way. Check how many credits the class is worth. I’m taking English 110/120 next year for a total of 6 credits for that class.

Does your college give credit for dual enrollment?

AP tests are usually a surer bet if they say they give credit for them. Transferring dual-enrollment credits is easiest when you’re going to a public school in the same state (and I think out-of-state public schools are easier than private schools too, but I’m not sure). Your odds of transferring a dual-enrollment class to a private school are highest when it wasn’t used to meet high school graduation requirements and it didn’t take place in your high school building.

I agree with halcyonheather. Check with the colleges you want to attend in the future. As previously stated, most private schools don’t want to accept dual enrollment credits, but in state or OOS publics generally will allow you to transfer credit. Well-known publics might not, though. Just be sure you aren’t wasting your money paying for dual enrollment; even if you get those classes for free, it’s a good idea to spend your time wisely, so take whichever one will transfer. If both will, then take the option that will give you more credits.
