hey wonwon ... the form b of all ap tests is entirely different from form a. also all of the form b tests are graded within each other (not mixed with the form a) and thus the form b curve is usually much less since there is a smaller amount of students taking the exam that day

I think I got a 2 on this exam, lol.

I need at least a 4 on this exam to get credit. If I do get a 2, that would be very sad, for English was my intended major in college.

Who are going to grade our essays?

But there might be some form a straggler still left.
You never know.

Collegeboard probably has good reason for the 2 day wait.

wait, the CB uses the same MC for the makeup test that it used for the test today? This whole form A/form B thing is confusing me :-/
could someone please explain?

i wonder if college board ever checks boards such as this...and if they ever do anything about it (anyone ever hear any stories?)

also, how is it possible that someone would take this test after today? there were like a hundred messages on the test saying that if they were not taking it on may 4, around 8am (7am in Alaska!), that they should refuse to take it...

this thread should be deleted

yea it really should.

Y'all are the most paranoid freaks I've ever met. Do you REALLY think that CB has all this luxury time to check boards like this? Well, just to feed your imagination, yes, they do.

In fact, they have large, neverending, bureaucratic departments for this ****. They're ALWAYS spying on us because God knows they're the CB... they can do what they want! They have infinite resources at their disposal even though they're a non-profit corporation, so we all know the best thing for them to do with their abundant wealth is to spy on a few kids talking about their literature test! next thing you know, they're going to break down your door, gas/burn down your home, kill your family, take your money, put a tracking device on you, slap you around in their Princeton HQs for a bit, dump you stranded on the side of a 10 lane freeway, and monitor your actions for the rest of your life. Oh yeah, they'll cancel your scores, too, which is way worse than the other stuff...

Give me a break!

SHIeT! DELELTEEE THREAD! I DONT WANT TO BE STRANDED On A fUR LANE HIGHWAY! nooo

lol

Nice hyperbole good sir.

I seriously doubt anyone is still taking Form A of the test.

Time caught up to me on the MC and I only had 20 minutes to finish the last 2 passages (including the really long one on the artist). I could've done better, but nehh. I think I still did OK. We also went over the first poem once in class but my teacher had a decidedly more..."sensual" interpretation (she's pretty perverted).

Essay 1: I thought this was my best essay. But reading through the posts I may have been really really off. At first I thought about Sound and the Fury and the gull suspended on an invisible wire - suspension of time. But then I thought about the "evening" hawk and so ended up talking about the hawk as a herald of the night, with lots of figurative language including similies and stuff and very sharp diction. I understood the second verse to be about the coming of night as a reminder of our own mortality - traditionally, Death is pictured in black robes and with a scythe, which is traditionally used for cutting grain. I wrote about the error as him thinking about his mistakes that day and even all throughout his life and then I said he started respecting the night rather than seeing it as a destructive force like an avalanche in the beginning and became more academic about things with the Plato references, so he was more and more removed so he went from emotional about mortality to intellectual about it being the normal process of things.

I was influenced by my teacher's interpretation of a previous poem the AP people used like 20 years ago. So it might be really off. Eekkkk reading this board makes me sad.

I caught onto the "The wing" structural stuff but not the ascent/descent. That sounds cool, but is that language?

Essay 2: I thought this was the hardest because I read Imp of Being Earnest in my class last year in Brit Lit and my teacher never "interpreted" it...just saying it was "art for art's sake" and so any meaning we derived from it was not intended...

Anyways, I had no unifying theme/thesis really, just said that it society was ridiculous and facetious, that the Lady was the only one who had any common sense. The other people were just silly and obsessed with social standing. I basically just followed the structure of the dialogue and "interpreted" each section...yeah, right.

Essay 3: I used Frankenstein and compared Victor in the city vs. Victor and the monster in the country. The country was peaceful, surrounded by loved ones (said contributed to theme of alienation leading to abuse of tech) and with hope/possibility of resolution.

I get absolutely no credit for this exam, whether I get a 1 or a 5. I basically took it to get out of my teacher's final - they're killer! But I think I definitely passed - just don't know if it was with a 3 or a 5. Oh well...:p

Hhhhahahahahah at running circles. A funny person right there

i hope youre really right runningcircles.
i really do.
and i hope my whole freaking out about cb is futile.
then i can live worry free......

I think im taking to many ap tests, I was tempted to start describing the sexual attributes of Lady Meredith. Seriously, that sexy aristocratic charm of hers, that rotund little behind of sarcasm under that frilly personality.

I surely would have gotten a 5. Hope no one steals this idea,..

I'm telling ya... CB is worse than the Naza Gustapo, Stalin's version of Communism, and the Armenian Genocide COMBINED! Don't forget the Illuminati; in fact, I think the Illuminati and CB are working together! BEWARE!

*Nazi 10 chars

Ah! So that's why Angels and Demons will never be on the AP test. It's a conspiracy! :)

Hhhhahahahahah at running circles. A funny person right there

Working together!? The Illuminati is the CB. Wonder why we cant discuss the free responses for 48 hours? Thats because it takes 48 hours for the brainwashing, subliminal messages contained within the tests, to become permanently placed in our subconcious. If we began to discuss before the 48 hour time period their devish plot would be foiled.

Why else do you think we will spend hundreds of dollars on early score reports?

BRAINWASHING!

a friend of mine wrote about last night's wizards' game
