I meant on the answer sheet.

i used "their eyes were watching god" for number three...hopefully the everglades count as the country

my number 2 essay was decent

number 1...pretty average i guess

I doubt they'll care, unless it was something vital to the report of your scores, such as your Ap number or legal name.

the mulltipliers for lit will be

mc raw score x 1.22727
total score for all essays x 3.05556

add them up you get your total raw score, and the scale will look something like what lvshorty610 posted.

Note: mc raw score is found by taking the # right - (# wrong x .25 )
i.e. if you get 43 write and 12 wrong, raw score would be 43 - (12 x .25) = 40

babaloo, how do you know those will be the multipliers this year?

does anyone even READ these prompts before tens of thousands of students take this test? i think my teacher prolly puts more effort into essay prompts than that.

also, this girl i really don't like wrote about the Adam and Eve story from the Bible..will she get a 0/9 because she didn't use a full-length novel or play?

I think anyone who posted anything regarding the test just screwed themselves over.

Because if someone who hasn't taken Form A of the test and will be taking it within the next two days read this. The person will be well informed to get a REALLY high score which would screw up the curve the AP folks give.

freaking hawk ha. i coulnd't extract a meaning at all and I didn't feel comfortable pulling it out of my Ass so yeah that ended up two paragrpahs... i would like to say there were 2 brillant paragraphs, but yeah... I really blew this one.

are the people that are on here decrying the discussion the MC serious? would not the discussion of the free response (which we were also instructed to keep quiet about) also count as "breaking the rules?"
I feel like there is enough information here for everyone to find out if they were on or off for the essays (none of the new comments about the essays bring anything new to the table--I think people are just venting now lol). So--and correct me if I'm wrong--I thought going over the MC might be more helpful...?

Your choice though...I'll be entertained either way :)

in response to running circles...

there are a total of 150 points for the lit test (always). the multiple choice is worth 45% of the total score, which is equal to 67.5 points/ 150 total points. if you divide 67.5 by the # of multiple choice questions, you'll get the multiplier for the mc.

for the essays, its the same every year becuase there are always a maximum of 27 essay points. since essays are worth 55%, that equals 82.5 points / 150 total points. divide 82.5 by 27, and you get the essay multiplier.

i hope that was clear enough; it's a little bit confusing.

No, not confusing at all. I just always wondered. Though, I thought #MC stayed constant, too. Guess I was wrong, haha. Thanks for the info!

I think the worst part about this exam is waiting until July for the score.

*of the MC

What's lame is that "country" has multiple meanings. I've heard some kids wrote about actual countries (country in Africa in Heart of Darkness, for instance). The AP people need to make less ambiguous prompts. Gosh.

I thought that the people in the Wilde play were very shallow and trivial since they did not talk about anything important like current events or politics (whatever current events would have been for that era). Basically I thought he was criticizing British society for being obsessed with the trivial elements of life since all the characters cared about was gossip. Did anyone else say something along those lines? Also I said that the characters had an amazing gift because they talked so much about so little (isn't that a line from the Importance of Being Ernest) I didn't even realize it until I thought back on the test like hours later. I wonder if it will count against me somehow.

so much rule-breaking going on here. -_-

pilebay, I wrote something similar to what you wrote.

Did anyone have a hard problem conveying their thoughts to writing on essay #2?

ahighschooler, I'd have to agree. It takes a good week or two for my mind to stop mentally thumbing through the test, rehashing each question that I can remember, trying to anticipate my score--it's a sickness.

Patience is a virtue, but I guess I'm not that virtuous.

i am queen of bs.
i had a hard time bsing anything today.
i predict a 3-4 on all of my essays.
i predict a 2 overall for my AP score.

Because if someone who hasn't taken Form A of the test and will be taking it within the next two days read this. The person will be well informed to get a REALLY high score which would screw up the curve the AP folks give.

wonwon is right you guys. so is paungle about "breaking the rules".

yeah I did have a hard time putting my ideas down. And I think I quoted too much. But seriously we could technically all get our scores canceled though. Now I am worried about that....
