I'm thinking of taking AP Enviro Sci this year as a junior, starting in September when school starts. Since the course is going to be new at my school, I don't really know much about the class (or the teacher), so I was thinking if you guys could give me some information about it. Anything would be appreciated :)
Thank you!

The course description is included in here http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalServices/pdf/ap/ap-environmental-science-course-description.pdf

I took AP EnviroSci last year. Compared to other AP’s, its supposedly not that difficult. You learn it more like a history class than a science one, to be honest. Just a lot of terms to remember. There is limited math on the AP exam though, but nothing that requires anything higher than simple algebra.

If you are able to take AP Bio/Chem/Physics and you have not yet, I would suggest going that route - they’re more generally applicable classes. Unless, of course, you are truly interested in AP Enviro! Just be careful of the teachers you can get with that class. My teacher was fairly liberal and often times his political leanings made their way into the classroom but if you can get past that, it’s a decently interesting class.

APES is really fun; took it last year. We got to go outside and take lots of field trips. The class itself wasn’t that bad but the AP test is hard if you don’t understand the relationship between humans and the environment. There are a fair amount of terms to remember but it isn’t as bad as remembering terms for an AP history class in my opinion.

Okay, thanks guys!!
