I'm planning to take AP Environmental Science next year but I'm not sure if it will be worth it or not. The teacher is presumably pretty easy and there's about 1 hr of hw per night. What would colleges see if I didn't take the AP exam later in the year (if I don't learn enough to). Even if I do take the exam and get a 4 or 5 in it, what will the score be worth? Do most colleges like take out the extra weight gpa for this particular AP class (5.0 to 4.0)? I'm fairly interested in this subject and I partly just want the easiest AP class (since I'm taking 4 hard APs other than this). Therefore I want to balance out all of the APs I'm interested in and that means i need to take 5 APs this year or I will have a stressful senior year.

I don't think colleges will be really impressed by it and many good colleges only look at the unweighted GPA, although it does make your course load look a little bit heavier. If you are interested, go for it since it is an easy subject.
