I have to choose between AP European History and AP Chem for next year. For those of you who have taken either/both of these classes, which class was more rewarding/interesting? Which was more difficult? Which one helped you more in college?

Disregard whatever I may be more interested in/be better at/think about the classes.

These are the classes I will already be taking:

AP English 12 (Lit)
AP Latin
AP Ceramics
MV Calc/Dif. Eq.
Tech

So, should I sign up for AP Chem or AP Euro?

Why would you want to disregard the pieces of information that are supposed to help you decide between the two? There’s no point in taking a class if you’re going to hate it, especially if it is irrelevant to your interests. Typically Chem requires more work than Euro, and is generally regarded as having the more difficult exam of the two. The workload really depends on your school however, so ask around to see which is the lesser of the two if you’re feeling overloaded with your other classes. Also what is AP Ceramics? If that ties into AP Art, then that is definitely a lot of coursework.

I completely agree with the above poster. They’re both impressive so pick the one you like more, since you’ll do better in it and it’ll make you happier. Personally, I’m loving AP Euro whereas AP Chem would make me want to cry every day, but it comes down to which class you’d rather spend your time on.

at my school AP Chem the class is really chill (half of the time we play cards in class after teacher’s done teaching the unit) while AP Euro is pretty hard and requires a lot more work (altho almost everybody gets 5’s on the AP in both). I find Euro as a class more interesting though.

I’m in both. AP Chem at my school isn’t difficult. AP Euro is a ton of work. If you don’t enjoy history, I suggest not taking it. I know you don’t want to hear it, but it really does depend on your interests.
