AP European History?

I heard the other day that a few colleges tell prospective students on their websites that they should take European history. Would it hurt me if I didn't take European history but instead took a history class at Harvard extension school?

The way my school is theres only one AP European History class all year and it conflicts with AP Biology, which I really want to take.

Any thoughts?

That AP Biology would be useful if you're interested in say, genetics. But if you're not then i would go with European History.

if you really want to take biology, then take biology. if you want to take euro, then take euro. simple as that.

remember college admissions (for selective schools, anyway) is not based on a checklist where the adcom is like, "ap bio? check. no ap euro? -1 deduction"
