I'm worried about my AP exam scores and their possible detrimental effect on my application. I'm taking 3 AP classes, 2 of which I think should be fine (4 or 5), but I've been having considerable difficulty with AP Spanish. It's probable that I'm getting a 3 on the exam (4 if I'm lucky), which I would imagine wouldn't look too good on an application. I'm taking 5 AP classes next year. Will the AP Spanish score be a deal breaker? Should I even send in the exam?

I don’t think so, most colleges accept 4s on Language AP exams (including IV) just because those exams are so difficult.

What about 3? Will it be a deal breaker?

For credit or placement into more advanced language courses in college, check each college for its policy.

Thanks, but I’m just talking about how it will look when applying.

Why do you have to take the exam? My school lets you take the class but the exam is optional.

My school requires juniors to take the exams for their AP classes…not fun.

That sucks. Study hard, I guess… Good luck.
