AP Exam Fee Waiver Illinois Cook County?

Anyone know what their system for granting fee waivers is for 2011? My teachers are already pushing us to sign up but the college board site hasn't put up the most current state and county fee waiver info.

I am taking AP Physics C (counted as 2 tests, which is total BS) and AP Gov (not comparative).

Also, are there any grant or scholarship foundations that can help pay for AP exams? I realize that $86 per exam is relatively cheap compared to the cost of college courses but my pockets are nowhere near $250 deep atm.

Any help would be much appreciated.

hi,
i’ve heard there are federal funds available for low income students. i’m not sure what the exact eligibility requirements are. however, if you are included in the free or reduced lunch program at your school, you may be eligible. check with a guidance counselor at your school. if you are eligible, the federal funds cover 100 percent of the cost of ap exams.

p.s. i know someone in a county adjacent to cook county who is in reduced lunch at her school and has gotten a fee waiver for all the exams she’s taking this year …
