Hey guys! I bet many of you see this question a lot, but I would greatly appreciate any tips for the three AP’s I’m taking, Lang, Psych, and USH. I’m shooting for all 5’s cuz why not, and please share any help, strategies, tips, books, study plans, etc. Thank you, and have a great day/night
I got a 5 on Psych last year. The key for that one is having the vocabulary perfectly memorized. If you know the terms, that’s really all you need to do well on the MC and FRQs! I used Barron’s flashcards, but you can just as easily make your own or use Quizlet.
I got a 4 on APUSH. I think my problem was the essays… I should have practiced them more! I self-studied APUSH, so if you have a teacher I think that would definitely help. Also, last year there was a short answer question on pre-Columbian Native Americans, which I wasn’t expecting at all! I had to totally wing it for that one… I doubt they’ll have questions that are super similar two years in a row, but that’s just an example of how in-depth the College Board expects you to get!
I’m taking Lang this year, so I’m in your boat with that one. So far what’s been most helpful for me is writing a practice essay using a past AP test prompt and then looking at the actual essays and their scores. You can find this on the College Board website.
I hope this helps! Good luck!
Well thanks for your response! Good luck in lang! @eyrar99
Anyone else have advice for AP Lang? I know I’d like some. :'D
