I read the policy regarding rescoring on the college board website, and I dont quite understand it. I understand what they are doing, you pay a few to have your MC rescored by hand, but I dont understand why anyone would need to. I mean its already been graded albeit not by a human. Does the machine make mistakes or something? Is it worth the money to have it done? Does your score get lower your score if they determine you made a lower score? I still havent gotten my scores back but I'm just curious as I might want to have mine rescored. If you have experienced this process your comment would be appreciated.

It costs $25 for rescore, and machines do make mistakes. Sometimes CB will catch the mistake and raise the score even if you don’t pay. If probably depends on your conscience if you want to do it or not, meaning if you think you did well enough for a 5 but you got a 2 or 3 instead you should rescore.

thanks tech. has anyone experienced a rescore?

It’s all there.

Whew! thanks that helped alot. I can’t believe CB makes those type of mistakes, and then charge people to fix their scores.

They really love money.

apparently they do. I wonder do they do some of these delibrately just so they can get more money. It seems just about everyone who sent in a request had their score changed.

Well, either they spend all this money creating all the AP and SAT exams or they are a for-profit organization.
