AP Exams vs SAT II Subject Tests

I have two questions. Which is harder, an AP exam or an SAT subject test? Also, do colleges look at PSAT scores? Thanks!

AP Exams are harder than Sat Subject Tests. And depending on the college you are applying to, usually the harder schools to get into do look at your scores from PSAT/SAT/ACT

PSAT scores are not sent to colleges the way ACT and SAT scores are. If they happen to be printed on your high school transcript the admissions office would see them, but the SAT/ACT scores are what they use.

A 750 on a subject test is about a 5 on an AP (just saying this as what I think, I have nothing to really back this up). It’s easier to get a 5 than an 800, for sure.

Thanks for the reply! So if I take an AP Bio class and study for the AP exam, I should be ready for the SAT II Biology (M) test?

^^More or less. You should still get the review book for the SAT test. They don’t cover the exact same material.

Heavier on the less. AP Bio covers material in more depth and less breadth that the Subject Test covers, so you will need to fill in the gaps on your own.

Difficulty really depends on the subject. For example, listening to my friends, I figured the APUSH Exam was much easier than the SAT US History Subject Test (my friends got a 5, but scores varied around 710-790). However, I took both the AP Biology Test and the SAT Biology M Test and I thought the AP Biology Exam was way harder than the subject test.
