AP Exams while I'm out of high school?

Hello everyone. I wanted to know whether or not I’d be able to take AP exams even though I am not currently a high school student. I dropped out of high school at the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year but I will be returning to high school the 2016-2017 school year. In the time that I have been out, I have been self studying APUSH and AP Stats and I am confident that I’d be able to pass the exams for those courses. I wanted to know whether or not the College Board allows students not actively enrolled in an academic institution to take their AP exams and still get college credit for passing. I am aware that this would not grant me high school credit. I’m just concerned whether or not it would be worth the $ if I’m confident that I can pass it and get the credits for passing the exams.

I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to, people self-study APs all the time. I’d email your high school or look at the college board website to be sure

As far as I know, the College Board doesn’t have any eligibility requirements for taking their exams. However, colleges might not give you credit for them. If you have any idea what colleges you’re going to apply to, you could email them and ask. CLEP tests might be more aligned with what you’re looking for.
