Hello,

What are the must-know court cases for the AP Government exam? I took the course last semester and I don't remember much =

Thank you!

some kinda big ones
brown v. board of ed
plessy v. ferguson
mccolloch v. maryland
marbury v. madison
etc. etc. etc.

Mapp v. Ohio

Baker vs Carr

Roe v Wade
the cases having to do with affirmative action

baker vs carr

Grisward v CT is another.

My teachre gave us a list of 26 or so?
He predicts that one question with definitely involve a Court Case since "it has been a while"

I seriously have to retake this AP test, it was the easiest class/test ever! Damn CB gave me a 4.

uc regents v bakke (affirmative action)
griswold v connecticut (privacy)
gitlow v ny (dominance of federal govt/supremecy clause/free speech)
us v nixon (checks on presidential power)

Even if there isn't one blatantly asking for court cases etc, using them as evidence in those "Explain..." questions is an easy way to get that second point.
