I was thinking about taking AP Human Geo this year (as a sophomore) because I heard it was fairly easy to self study and I want the experience of an AP test (call me crazy). I’m also thinking about taking AP Psychology and AP World Lit because I will be taking the regular (we don’t have AP world lit) world lit class at my school as a sophomore. However, about the AP Human Geo, I was on CC last night and heard that a lot of colleges won’t actually give you credit for AP HuGeo even if you get a 5. Sure enough, I went on college websites such as UPenn, Uchicago, Columbia, Stanford (I’m not actually sure about applying, i was just curious) and none of them will give credit for HuGeo. Some of the state universities (universities of california, university of arizona) will give you credit. Also, the AP tests are pretty expensive…so all in all, I’m just wondering, is it worth it to take the AP human geography test?</p>
