which is better: SAT II or AP tests?
I'm planning to take AP Spanish this year, but then I was wondering if I should also take AP Bio or Physics, or just take SAT II Bio and Physics my senior year.
I'm at a school with the IB curriculum, so I won't be taking nearly all of my tests (English, history, Chinese, HL Math, Bio, Physics, HL Spanish) until end of my senior year, except for SL Calculus this year.
So I guess what I'm asking is...which AP exams should I take and which SAT II's?

APs can get you credit, whereas SATIIs may just place you in a higher class. Personally, I would take the APs if I had to choose.

You need to determine which II's will be required (or recommended) with the new SAT I. The more competitive schools will likely want two or three subject tests with the SAT I. Collegeboard has links to some of the sites:

If you're already taking the IB Higher Level tests, there is no need to take the AP tests for those classes. Most (competitive) schools recognized the IB diploma and equate the AP score of 5 with the IB score of 7.

It is harder to get an IB 7 though, so I would personally take the AP too. Then again, the testing fees are no issue for me.

Actually ... I would take all the tests - if you're preparing for the APs, why not take the SAT IIs? Unless you have already been accepted into college, and since SAT IIs do not really give you college credit (in some circumstances, though, they can, I've heard), SAT IIs become pointless after a certain point of senior year.
