Hi everyone Im a senior who got accepted to Rutgers. I have a question regarding taking the use of credits from the AP exam. I already took the AP lang test and scored a 4, which will place me out of the Expo class at Rutgers. I was wondering if its worth it to take the AP Lit test as well, will it place me out of any english classes or give me more credits?

It varies depending on which school you enroll in. If you are in SAS, you would get credit for two different classes if you get a 4/5 on both exams. For engineering, you only get credit for expos regardless of whether you took one of both exams. In general, If I already got a 4/5 on one, I wouldn’t even bother taking the other, but that i up to you. If you do intend on being in SAS (or possibly other schools, i haven’t checked the other schools policies), the extra three credits could make the difference in when you register for classes (which is determined by number of credits earned) and for only 87 dollars or whatever for three college credits, that’s a pretty good deal.

Thank you so much for your answer! Just another quick question,if I were to take the AP Lit exam and get a 4/5 what class what that place me out of?
