I am a junior at my lovely local high school. Our school offers AP lit. as a senior english class. I was planning on taking it next year, however I have heard that the teacher is not the best at her job, also she is emotionally and mentally unstable. So I decided why not take just take english as a homeschool class and study for the AP lit test. I am a fairly proficient reader plus I enjoy reading. Is this a good idea? What should I do for the class? I'm assuming I should read some great works of literature but beyond that I'm not sure. Is there some sort of syllabus I can follow? Is there a good review book for AP lit?

I think that’s best. If you already heard if the teacher isn’t the best, and your a good reader, you should self-study.
